Some random thoughts as we leave Yellowstone…
no reception
no cell phone
Wild animals everywhere
Elk and Bison…grizzly bears.
Fox and deer as we pass by
Falcons and ravens in the sky
Weather changing unrestrained
Hot, cold, hail, snow and rain.
Skies as blue as we’ve ever seen
Clouds as white…trees as green
A landscape that mesmerizes and enthralls
Mountains, valleys, waterfalls
Winds so strong the trees all shake
Cliffs, and canyons, geysers…lakes.
Colors bursting all around
Hiking trails we have found…
A couple accustomed to sun and sand
waking through a winter wonderland.
In no hurry…taking life slow
Picnics outside…in the snow.
So many memories that will endear
Blessed for a chance to visit here
One final thought on Yellowstone
With all that surrounds us…who needs a phone.
