We live near the ocean and visit the mountains…both with skies an exquisite shade of blue…when people look over the water or up at the peaks they remark on their breathtaking views.
Breathtaking views of the mountains and the oceans are wonderful in their own way…but these are not the only views that can take our breath away:
When you smile at a friend you haven’t seen in a while…and they smile back at you…your partner…your children…your grandchildren…aunts and uncles…each one a breathtaking view.
Random acts of kindness…watching lovers steal a glance…listening to a baby giggle…watching anybody dance.
People hugging…that perfect kiss…when a mother and her new baby meet…watching a family holding hands as they walk along the street.
Puppies rolling over each other…an intimate dinner for two…knowing wherever we are the same sun shining over me…is also shining over you.
Cookies fresh out of the oven….watching a chorus of children sing…seeing one person in love accept from another…a simple wedding ring.
Yes, if we look around we will find so much out there to warm…
to enchant…
to woo us…
moments that not only take our breath away…
but breathe life back into us.
