10 years ago we taped our four grandchildren…trying as best we could…
to capture time in a bottle…to catch a moment of their childhood.
We asked them questions about themselves..about their likes…their hopes and dreams that day…and once we they were done answering…for the next 10 years we packed that tape away.
Yesterday 10 years was up….and it was time for us to to explore…
the voices of our young grandchildren…now ages 15 to 24.
It was wonderful…listening to their voices…recorded 10 years ago
but it also was a reminder of how fast time flies…and how quickly we all grow.
How every moment of every day amidst our laughter and our cries…like it or not…the world is changing…right before our eyes.
As we listened to their hopes and dreams…to voices that now sound strange…some of their likes and hopes and wishes stayed the same…but some of them had changed.
A reminder to all of us…as we live our life…day in…day out…day in…when one door closes on our dreams…it only means another adventure’s about to begin.
So we told them our wish for them…for our whole family is that their lives are filled with more joyousness than pain…that their moments in the sun…outlive their moments in the rain…
And to look on all the changes in their lives with joy, and happiness and pride…as we reminded them the tighter we hold on to one another…the more we all enjoy the ride.
