I wonder about the smile, how moving a few muscles just a trace
Can change our whole demeanor and put a smile on our face.

And with an endless supply of smiles and nothing for us to pay
I wonder...if we shouldn’t spend more time...giving them away?

I Wonder How To Stay Young

I wonder if the key to staying young can be found in simple things
Like running barefoot in the park or pretending to have wings.

Like chasing fireflies by a campfire or waving at a passing train,
Like finding shapes within the clouds...or playing in the rain.

I Wonder About Mothers

I wonder why mom’s worry, for everybody knows
Worry won’t alter tomorrow’s joy... or change tomorrow’s woe.

Why then do mother’s worry...and worry our whole life through?
Because...they are our mothers...and that’s what mothers do.

I Wonder About Beauty

I wonder about beauty and often wonder why
If beauty is, indeed, in each beholder’s eye

Then wouldn’t this world we live in be a wonderful place to be
If everyone could find the beauty in everything they see?

I Wonder About Terrorism

  I wonder about terrorism, how can something so sinister grow
  How’s it possible for people to hate people they don’t know?

  Then I see fear grip this country...and seeds of hatred grow...
  And terror win when we begin to hate people we don’t know.

I Wonder About The Butterfly

I wonder about our friend the butterfly and its metamorphosis
How it develops slowly into beauty one can’t miss.

How every stage is vital if it’s to soar into the sky
And I think...we’re not so different than our friend the butterfly.

I Wonder About Earth's Name

I wonder who gave Earth her name, the origin is obscure
Ask around and you will find even experts are unsure.

Which makes me wonder and I’ve expressed this thought to both my sons and daughter
Why name a planet after dirt...when most of it is water?
